About the Author

Bernard J. Fleury

     Bernard J. Fleury, B.A. History and Classical Languages, Ed.D. Philosophy, Government, and Administration, former History, English, Latin teacher, and school principal, is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Educational Administration. His administrative/teaching career spans nearly five decades and three United States and Caribbean Colleges.

     Since 1983 he has also been an ordained Roman Catholic clergyman: a Permanent Deacon, and has served in this capacity in the United States and the Cayman Islands. He has a life-long interest in history and a firm belief in the synthesis of faith and reason (theology and science) as two aspects of a single reality that collectively give us the most complete picture of reality we can attain. He is an avid gardener and for many years was an avid horseman, who with his wife led several 4-H youth horse clubs.

     Currently he resides in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains with his wife Ludmila.

     His latest book,
Called into Life by the Light, follows A Bee In His Bonnet and two major academic texts: What Is Man? and Reform Of Schooling. He is currently working on a revision of What Is Man? and two new manuscripts: Doctor Daddy, Deacon and The Wingwalker.
